Chan Leng Sun, SC
Leng Sun is a Senior Counsel of the Supreme Court of Singapore and a Chartered Arbitrator. He is the Deputy Chairman of the SGX Appeals Board, a member of the Securities Industry Council and a delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. He is formerly the Global Head of Arbitration of an international law firm, President of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) and President of the Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents. He was also Deputy Chairman and a Court member of SIAC. He had also served as a legal officer of the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva.
Leng Sun is a Panel Mediator of SIMC and a Specialist Mediator of the inaugural SCMA-SIMC Maritime Mediators Panel. He is a member of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA) Advisory Board. Leng Sun is the author of the book, Singapore Law on Arbitral Awards and Co-Editor of Conflict of Laws in Arbitration. He is the General Editor of the Singapore Arbitration Journal. He has taught or given lectures at leading law schools, such as National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, Queen Mary University of London, Peking University and Yonsei University.
Leng Sun is qualified in Malaysia, Singapore and England. He was conferred the Public Service Medal by the President of Singapore in 2023.
